Taiji (Tai Chi) Practice and Depression

A very recent study done in Japan looked at the relationship between long term Taiji practice and depression. Looking at 529 patients, the researchers determined that long term Taiji practice was related to lower levels of depression. Therefore, it is probably that Taiji practice has a beneficial effect on preventing depression.
