Clinical Qigong Course Fall Semester

This week I’m teaching the last of 15 classes in our new online Clinical Qigong course. I have to say, it’s been a really fantastic class to teach, and I’m so grateful to have had a cohort of excellent students who were interested in engaging with the material over the course of a few months.

Most CEU/CME courses for practitioners of East Asian Medicine are conducted over intensive weekends. I had originally considered this model for the Clinical Qigong course, but eventually decided to offer it as a semester style course over 15 weeks. I taught a similarly organized course on Tung’s acupuncture in New York City several years ago, and in both cases I believe it allowed for a deeper integration of these practices in students’ personal lives and clinical practices.

Small class size combined with a dedicated Facebook page only for students also created what really feels like a community of practitioners. The classes were also recorded so that everyone has had, and will continue to have going forward, access to the class material. It really is my longterm goal to create greater awareness of how Qigong can be used clinically beyond the most commonly seen “external” Qi healing modalities that are usually taught.

My plan is to start a new cohort of students this fall. If anyone is interested, please contact me to be added to the list of potential students. Again, to ensure quality of teaching and engagement, class size will be limited!
