We had a very snowy winter this year, and it seemed like snow always arrived on a Sunday. At least, the Sundays we had our class scheduled. So, yet once again, we’ve had to reschedule our Pain and Injury course. So, if you have time to join in and you are local to NYC, please join us on SUNDAY, APRIL 12th!
Pain is one of the most common—and most challenging—conditions treated in modern East Asian medicine. While many people are familiar with the power of acupuncture for pain relief, fewer realize that Chinese herbal medicine is just as potent, backed by over a thousand years of clinical use and refinement.
This immersive class takes a deep dive into how pain is understood, assessed, and treated through the lens of Chinese medicine. You’ll explore pain and injury staging theory, time-tested treatment strategies, commonly used single herbs and formulas, and specialized herbal prescriptions drawn from classical Chinese martial arts lineages.
We’ll also cover the external application of herbs—an incredibly effective and often overlooked area of practice that I’m especially passionate about and rarely have the chance to teach in depth.
